Confused About Your Critical Illness Insurance Plan, Read On To Help Yourself.

Critical

Critical illnesses are quite fatal, but when they are not so, they need a hefty amount of money to be treated with. That’s why taking critical illness cover or critical illness insurance comes into one’s consideration. Briefly, there are two types to coverage available.

1. Basic coverage: Under this coverage very few numbers of conditions such as cancer, heart attack and stroke are grouped.

2. Comprehensive coverage: This cover gives you all the benefits of the basic cover plus some additional conditions.

It may be worth knowing that inside these two plans, most companies offer 3 types of plans.

1. The first plan is10 year Renewable Plan: This policy guarantees you of rates but they do increase every 10 years until the policy ends which usually happens at the age of 65, 70 or 75.

2. The second one is named as Level to Age 60, 65 or 70 or to age 75: In this plan, the premium remains unaffected throughout the policy period, so the longer-term policies will cost a little more. For age to 75, the premiums are quite reasonable in relation to the 10-year renewable plans, and are very low as compared to the permanent plans.

3. The last one is the Permanent Plan: Under this policy, the insured person gets cover for the whole life time. There are more chances of an insured claim to occur; the premium is generally higher as compared to the other two plans.
